Cadastral Survey
A cadastral surveyor defines property boundaries in compliance with legislation and relevant survey practices and principles. This includes identifying, re-establishing or creating new property boundaries. Surveyors are required to abide by land survey legislation and submit plans for departmental review and audit.
Surveyors at Work is a registered cadastral survey company through the Surveyors Board Queensland.
Road Construction
Land surveyors are used to provide three dimensional measurements in the design process of transport infrastructure, which includes road, footpaths, bridges, round-abouts, and intersections. They are also used to assess and measure the progress during the construction phase.
Surveyors at Work have been working in regional Queensland for over 25 years, providing expert surveying services to the Federal Government, State Government, Local Governments and civil contractors.
Major Projects
A major project is defined as one that makes a significant investment, over and above normal expenditure to construct infrastructure that is complex in design or construction. They are often community catalyst projects like major highway upgrades, hospitals, schools, water/waste facilities and major community infrastructure.
The design and construction phases of these projects are essential to ensure the asset is properly constructed, while ensuring costs are met. Surveyors are an essential in these phases and often work fulltime of these projects. Surveyors at work have a wealth of experience in major projects, with highly qualified staff.
Drones
Surveyors at Work have been using drones as part of their survey deliverables for over a decade. Our service delivery includes laser point cloud, photogrammetry mapping, videography and photogrammetry. Surveyors at Work hold the ReOC Operator’s Certificate, granted pursuant to regulation 101.335 of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulation 1998 (CASR).
We are certified as a Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) operator and is authorised to conduct operation of the RPA – Multi-rotor up to 25kgs. We hold Aircraft Insurance for commercial aerial survey and photography using drones and our staff carry the appropriate UAV certification through CASA.
Laser Scanning
3D Laser Scanning delivers uniquely accurate surveying of real-world environments that simply can’t be achieved with traditional surveying.
Whilst conventional surveying allows the measurement of individual points at any given time, 3D Laser Scanning creates an accurate spatially correct 3D model or point cloud of the scanned site, which can be manipulated with software to register accurate measurable information.
If you are faced with the complex mapping of plant infrastructure, reverse engineering, mines, roads, bridges, railways, environmental vegetation – 3D Laser Scanning delivers invaluable information.
